What is Capability Intelligence?

Capability Intelligence is the discipline of turning workforce capability into evidence for better decisions.

Capability Intelligence helps organizations understand:

  • the gaps between required and current capability

  • where capability investment should be prioritized

  • whether workforce capability is improving over time

 

Rather than relying on assumptions, training completion, or self-reported confidence, Capability Intelligence uses structured evidence to guide workforce, learning, transformation, and AI readiness decisions.

What is Workforce Capability?

Workforce capability is the demonstrated ability of individuals and teams to perform work successfully within a defined context.

 

Workforce capability extends beyond knowledge or technical skills.

 

It includes the ability to apply knowledge, make decisions, solve problems, communicate effectively, and consistently perform work to the required standard.

 

Organizations develop workforce capability through a combination of experience, learning, coaching, technology, governance, and workplace support.

 

Capability Intelligence measures workforce capability using evidence rather than assumptions.

CAPABILITY EVIDENCE

What is Capability Evidence?

Capability Evidence is valid, decision-ready information that demonstrates whether a person, team, role, or organization possesses the capability required to perform work.

Capability Evidence may include:

Databilities®

What is Databilities®?

Databilities® is DTTP's proprietary framework for measuring workforce data capability.

The framework defines the competencies required to work confidently, safely, and effectively with data across modern organizations.

Databilities® provides:

  • role-based pathways

  • workforce reporting

Databilities® is used to measure workforce data capability as part of the broader Capability Intelligence methodology.

GLOBAL DATA LITERACY BENCHMARK

What is the Global Data Literacy Benchmark (GDLB)?

The Global Data Literacy Benchmark (GDLB) is DTTP's international benchmark for workforce data capability.

The benchmark enables organizations to compare workforce capability across:

  • industries

  • countries

  • occupations

  • workforce groups

  • capability domains

 

The GDLB provides external context for interpreting assessment results and identifying capability strengths, risks, and improvement priorities.

MEASURING CAPABILITY

How DTTP Measures Capability
